All businesses face risks which could range from unexpected personal problems, machinery breakdowns to total business disruption. That is why each company must constantly re-evaluate its risk management procedures, anticipate risks, regularly assess the effectiveness of internal controls to respond to such risks, and identify weaknesses on a timely basis.

At HLB Ashvir Consulting Ltd., we offer the following solutions:

Fraud Prevention: This involves running a fraud health check on a business with a view to increasing awareness of potential fraud and identifying areas most at risk to fraud.

Internal Audit: Internal audit is an oversight function, an independent appraisal activity established within an organisation, and through an Audit Committee, provides assurance to the shareholders, board and management by reporting on the effectiveness of the internal controls; reliability of the management information systems; management and control of the organisation’s assets; and compliance with applicable legislation and regulations. We provide internal audit solutions which range from the total outsourcing of the internal audit function to outsourcing its supervision or setting out an independent internal audit function. This is extended to advising clients to make effective use of data mining tools and computer assisted auditing techniques.

Risk Surveys: The survey involves undertaking a strategic review of the current and potential risks applicable to each business area. The survey provides two deliverables: the risk applicable to the operational area and the control which addresses the risk.
